Intercultural program
As a EURAXESS services centre, our organisation offers foreign researchers and their family a programme of events: cultural outings and social opportunities all year long. Come and meet other foreign researchers living in Nantes !
Headsup on this semester’s program (see full program below for details and fees):
- Thursday January 25th, King’s Cake party : gather around this traditional French cake for a social evening among fellow international researchers at Maison des Chercheurs Etrangers (MCE)
- Thursday February 8th, Games & Pizza evening: Fun and relax evening with a pizza and board or card games at MCE.
- Thursday February 22nd : Local Food Tasting party : Food tasting evening at MCE to discover salty and sweet local specialities such as galettes, crêpes, gâteau nantais, breton pork products…
- Tuesday March 12th, Classic night at Cité des Congrès : enjoy a concert with ONPL symphonic orchestra and soprano singer in Nantes’ biggest classic venue.
- Thursday March 28th : Games & Pizza evening: Fun and relax evening with a pizza and board or card games at MCE.
- Saturday April 13th : Nantes guided tour on the city’s slave trade history. Tour in English led by a professional guide from Nantes Tourist Office on this specific topic of our city’s past.
- Saturday May 25th : daytrip to Guérande, Le Croisic and the nearby salty marsh. Hike by the seafront, visit of the medieval city, guided tour of the marshes to understand how one of the most world famous salt is produced by local men and women.
- Saturday June 8th : daytrip at Le Mont St Michel, with a unique experience of walking across its bay and quick sands with comments of a local guide.
